What is Long Season?

Long Season is a free baseball simulation and management game that runs entirely in a web browser. Every game is simulated pitch by pitch, and your saves stay in your own browser.

How the games are played

Every game is simulated pitch by pitch through pitching, contact, fielding and baserunning, and every game produces a full box score. The league is calibrated to modern offensive levels: a batting average around .250, home runs on about 2.8 percent of plate appearances, and strikeouts on about 23 percent. Seeded random numbers make any game reproducible.

You can watch a live game on a 2D diamond or in a 3D broadcast style view with a scoreboard, and the game remembers which you picked. There are 23 achievement tiers to earn, and the awards include an MVP, an Ace Award for pitchers, and an Outstanding Newcomer. A league editor supports custom leagues on top of the built in modes.

Cost, accounts, and your data

Long Season is free to play and contains no ads and no payment of any kind. There is no account and no sign in. Saves are stored in your own browser, never on a server, and leagues can be exported and imported as JSON files from the Saves screen. The game is installable as a web app, and after the first visit it runs offline.

On privacy: nothing about how you play is collected unless you opt in. The web version counts aggregate page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies. An optional beta program, joined from Settings, shares your in-game activity with the developer, and leaving it deletes that data.
